Take the plunge at Pawnee Plunge Water Park. Stand in awe of a historic bridge or a life-size memorial featuring the famous Higgins boats from World War II. Study an artist’s interpretation, travel the Lincoln Highway Scenic & Historic Byway (Highway 30), or swing a club at a local golf course. Follow a lakeside trail or wander along the Loup River in search of a meadowlark’s call. Enjoy live music, history, a night at the races, specialty shops, and great Nebraska steak. It’s peaceful nooks and raucous celebrations. In 2024, the Fieldhouse opened, featuring the longest indoor walking track and the only regulation-sized indoor soccer field in the region. Harrah’s Casino opens in the spring, hosting the only one-mile horse racing track in Nebraska.
